Monday at work once again ;(
but today i didnt wanna wait for assignments.. so i went to ASK for assignments.
hahahahaaaaaa
so later on in the afternoon when the technician is back from half day leave, i'll have stuffs to do! i think thats the good thing about taking initiative. unlike that stupid joker who always know how to ACT BUSY with stupid things. seriously i cannot believe he is willing to sit there and do bo liao things for 2 weeks already without asking for things to do. he is the kind that waits for people to order him to do things. what a slacker/fucker. PUI
while he was doing boliao things for 2 weeks, luckily i was assigned some calculations and concepts to solve ;)
oh anyway after working in this company for past 2 months, ive come to appreciate how things are being designed and run in real life. maybe im getting the mechanical genes in me. and it's pretty satisfying holding a job that constantly requires u to use your brain and design something out of nothing. but of cuz you have to do some research prior to that.
the boss mentioned about a few weeks ago that he is joining forces with another NTU professor to take part in this robotics challenge. it a project initiated by DSTA (according to boss, DSTA's researchers are now damn slack so some competition for them is good for the soul).

and my part in this project? a VERY SMALL part. HAHAAHAHA which is to do some research regarding robots in the market now. and then brainstorm about how the mechanical design of the robot should be like. of cuz i wun be able to come up with the mechanical design myself but im assisting the more experienced designers in the house. THATS GOOD ENOUGH. it's better than not doing anything at all.
and the cash prize for the challenge? $ONE MILLION BUCKS
how i wish i can have that million.

anyway i was researching online and found some really cool animations->
this is done by StairBOT. is a robot which can climb stairs (DUHHH). this is simple sketch/mechanism of the whole movement.
i dunno whether it will be able to show up here but anyway heck lah. cannot see then too bad. hahaha
and this one is called SHRIMP->
pretty cool but the exterior is not that nice. too many wheels make the whole thing looks damn complicated.
and then i found a humanoid robot created by Honda! it's so freaking cool. seriously i wonder how did those mechatronics people come up with such amazing shit. it's so disgusting that humans can be so smart. URGH!
