WE LOVE BANGKOK!
i guess everyone has been to bangkok and it might be a little boring to read this post ahead cuz what you see and hear... might have happened to you a gazillion times! haha but theres no harm for a few pictures right? so the day started with jac and i going to take air asia. nothing fantastic on the plane and the airport needs no introduction. -ahem- so i shall just skip to the part when we REACH bkk.
Day One
we were on the cab, checking out the map and we saw this damn cool advertisement along the highway. anyway the cab ride was long cuz theres a massive jam. typical of bkk i know. so we reached the hotel: Silom Serene and tada! nice nice lobby! and cool view of the pool outside. they serve us chilled chrysanthemum and i gulped down the whole thing cuz i was bloody thirsty after the long flight+cab-ride. this hotel is superb i must say. their breakfast is damn nice lah! i miss the scrambled eggs plus hotcakes :((
soon after we took the bts down to SIAM and we had a little walk around the region. we had a nice dinner at this mini restaurant which serves pretty good thai food! i had fried rice which is damn oily. but prices are cheap! we headed down to patpong (which is near our hotel) and walked around the night market. weiyang and i wanted to watch some sex shows but jac doesnt want so we skipped that. those pimps were offering their menus to us and gosh! "pussy open cap bottle", "pussy.. (with some) pingpong".."pussyy... pussyyy" WHOA! and those bar tops are filled with scandily-clad girls dancing and waving at you. every bar is like that... i wonder how they fight for business. a group of angmohs went into one of the bar.. i bet the pimps are fucking happy. they see money! we walked around till 2am and HUNGRY lah! so weiyang and michelle went off to have roadside stall while jac and i decided to just have BK instead.
Day Two
so day TWO was spent in chatuchak! it was shopping haven for jac and i, while weiyang and mich went seperate ways. jac and i didnt have any cameras (even if we have, we will be busy buying so no time to snap!) so all these pictures of cute doggies were taken by the couple. they sell everything from clothes to ornaments to plants to books and to pets.. i think i left out something also. but anyway it's fucking BIG and i swear it's really FUCKING FUCKING BIG. jac and i took 5 hours to cover about 80% of the clothes section. how shocking! we went back to hotel to bathe cuz it's fucking sweaty and smelly and my neck was damn itchy! RARR!
after a refreshing shower, the four of us went to suan lam night market for our dinner! they have this open air "food court" where you have to purchase coupons and buy food. theres a big variety of food but jac and i were too tired to chew. we just want WATER. we shared some sausages and i had a chicken wing thats all. anyway theres this BIG ferris wheel next to the food centre and of cuz we went for a ride! the pictures are so damn nice right?! -agree-
Day Three
day three was the attack of SIAM area (includes mbk of cuz!). nothing spectacular about shopping pictures so i shant go into details. we decided to be FILIAL and went to the "Si Mian Fou" to pray for our families. it's really very smokey over there! check out weiyang's scrunched up face! haha anyway theres some snapshots of traffic jams plus human-traffic jams as well (we need fresh air!).
so after a long day in siam, we went to have dinner in Cabbages & Condoms! the place is damn damn damn damn damn damn damn nice + romantic and the food is good! service is also wonderful and no extra service charges except tipping at your own accord and to your measure of how good the service! plus we get free condoms after the meal!! hahaha the restaurant was set up to create AIDS-awareness thus all these condom thing. check out the condom man! hahaha damn retarded!
day 4, weiyang and mich went pattaya while jac and i stayed in bkk and went around siam area to shop again. we cant finish shopping in day 3 thus the return! haha so we have no pictures of our day-4 activities! for pattaya, i shall let mich intro what she and weiyang discovered over there! :))
Day Five
finally the last day. we took some shots together at the lobby and then headed for mbk where all last minute shopping is done! mainly mbk + bonanza plaza + siam (square? centre? cant remb haha). check out the picture of a back alley. theres a stench coming from there when we walked past. freaking smelly and dirty. the difference between the normal walkway and back alleys are so damn extreme. hur hur... ooh and the sexaye bra shop named Undercover! they have bras for 100baht/200baht. freaking cheap! damn damn damn nice as well but too bad sizes dun fit me! -sobsob- so we did our last min shopping and off to the hotel to pick up our luggages!
thats all about bangkok thru our eyes. ;) next year i shall go back there and sweep every goddamn thing! hurhurhurr... BANGKOK, WAIT FOR ME!!!

pattaya? instead of paying 2000 baht and let the hotel provide the transport to and fro, we decided to be adventurous and pay 100 baht each for a coach ride there. It turned out to be a 3 hrs ride because the bus made several stops along the way for passengers to board and alight. It was qt scary because we didnt know where to alight and which part of pattaya we'd be at. My limited knowledge of the thai language wasnt of much help. Thank goodness one ang mo who knows how to speak Thai boarded the bus and gave us direction!
the beach wasn't exactly beautiful but it was more of the cool sea breeze and the much slower pace of life (as compared to bangkok) which made the 3 hrs journey worthwhile. Something different. Lotsa restaurants/pubs facing the sea. Not as happening as we had imagined. Lotsa ang mo uncles there will thai girls. haha. Oh, we saw Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya too. We didnt go in because we figured we didnt have enough time and cash. We took at cab at 9pm and arrived at Silom Serene at 11pm. well. A MUCH safer option though it cost us ard 900 baht for a cab.
