Recent post in BM's blog has sparked me to write this entry because ive got some comments and thoughts to write down. the issue is about this 12 years old girl who had sex with her bf and ended up getting pregnant and now she has decided to keep the baby. for your info, the boy of 15 years old is now charged for juvenile crime. sad but true, this is what the society has become.

i guess Singapore has such a law where young girls under 16 are protected because they didnt want them to end up like this 12 year old girl. while she is beeming with joy over having a new kid and feeling proud that she's brave enough to keep and raise the child, she perhaps has not even given a thought as to WHAT HER LIFE WOULD BECOME when the baby finally arrives. A few reasons why singapore wouldnt want this to happen:

1) a 12 year old, are you sensible enough to raise up your child? can you provide him/her when your parents are still providing for you? perhaps 80% of the time, your parents are the ones who will be taking care of your kid while you are having fun outside. theres alot of distractions outside and being a 12 year old, it's hard to keep her at home away from frequent movies, hanging out and chilling out with friends, going shopping, coming home late... which all teenagers love to enjoy without having any financial burden, family burden and etc. so which means if this baby arrives, you think the 12 year old girl will not give in to temptations and stay at home and be good mother? i doubt so. Even my cousin who's 25 now cant even commit to her own daughter let alone a 12 years old who doesnt even have an income.

2) i guess we have to face the fact that singapore doesnt welcome kids who are like that. Chinese are not allowed to have pre-marital sex and it's deemed as disgraceful and shame for centuries, and you think you can change that fact within these few decades? dream on. if you go onto the streets and you tell everyone that you are 12 year old and you are pregnant, first thing people thought of is "wah lau.. so young so loose". do they care whether you have only slept with one man before?! and others would laugh at you and say "wanna fuck then use condom lah! so stupid". perhaps 0.01% will say "wow so brave!" and they are perhaps also underage parents like you. so this 12 year old girl, how is she gonna face the world outside? you think people will respect you? they will probably think that you are so immature to lend yourself in such a state. and is she stable enough to face the world outside? what will she do if people outside throw her crude remarks and call her names? dun tell me shesh running home and screaming for mummy or she will tell the person "i dun wanna friend you anymore!" or what? i guess she will also probably lose majority of her friends. even if the friends still wanna befriend her, you think their parents will allow?

Lemme warn these young people. If you wanna fuck around then you better play it SAFE. you wouldnt wanna end up like my cousin who is now in such a sorry state. The husband has ran away and now shesh left with 2 kids to look after and her life is in such a mess. you think this is mediacorp drama? that if fann wong has 2 kids and she has a pcb, then came along this handsome lee ming shun to marry her and raise up her 2 kids and live happily ever after? i think you watch too much drama already. not all drama happen in real life unless you are THAT lucky to find another man to love u like that.

Actually nowadays, even people of 20plus years of age are also being kinda childish. you wanna sleep around? bring condom. unless you are aiming to get her pregnant. you think you fuck already then later your gf kena pregnant then jus abort is so easy issit? it's like a stain in her life that she will never get rid of. and she will never forget it also. you've destroyed probably half of her life and by saying sorry you think it helps?!

Sometimes i dun understand how people think. I mean, be responsible for yourself and by doing that, you are also being responsible towards your family. You land yourself in trouble, half the time your parents are going to suffer as well. They did their best to raise you up and to provide you, at least be courteous enough to repay them well. Even if they didnt provide you much, they didnt harm you either. All in all, FUCK WITH CONDOM. if not, then don't fuck.
