Ooh la la! I LOVE OLD CHANG KEE! haha yeaps you see this practically in every part of singapore! According to oldchangkee.com, "The history of Old Chang Kee go as far back as 1956 when it started with just a small stall in a coffee shop outside the former Rex cinema along McKenzie Road. People just loved the delicious pastry stuffed full of curried potatoes, chicken, a slice of egg, fried with several herbs and spices. Each curry puff was carefully handmade and properly sealed to lock in the unmistakable aroma that won the hearts of many Singaporeans." and for more of their history, you can check out www.oldchangkee.com!
Talking about old chang kee makes me damn excited already! i loveeeee the curry puffs!!!! hahaha especially the thick thick crust! Im not much of a curry-filling lover but more of a crust-lover. i love especially the taste of fried flour on my tongue and the sensation of biting into it! -slurps-

whoa! even the website has delicious pictures of these curry puffs! and they have all the pictures of their products too! i saw my favourite sotongballs and breaded prawns too!

last time old chang kee wasnt halal, i think malays are missing out on something. now old chang kee is halal, now they can enjoy like we do as well! haha except that old chang kee is not very healthy as it's damn damn damn oily but who cares! once in a while is fine lah..
anyway i went online to search for the origin of curry puffs. but sadly, theres nothing regarding "where does curry puff comes from". however, an article on singaporefoodhistory.com said that in UK, there is this cornish pastry which was around in the 1800s. this cornish pastry looks like the curry puff we are eating! hahahaha how interesting.
Thinking about curry puffs, reminds me of VITASOY.i dunno why cuz no link leh! but aiyah this drink is something whcih i like since young. it's a drink that i will ask for when i go kopitiam. everytime vitasoy.. arbo then soya bean of other brands to compensate for it. but vitasoy is my true love :)) i even have pictures taken with my vitasoy when i was young. perhaps i drank too much milk, thats why i damn fat when i was young. but the plus point is that i have healthy bones! hahahaha

last time the packaging not so colourful one. only got blue and white and no ang moh words one. damn damn damn vintage. now got ang moh words and one red icon there so not vintage anymore. ang moh words make chinese things less vintage i feel. hahahaa so anyway i only love the original flavour. i dun like the cham cham one.. add this add that, i cant even taste properly!
And talking about vintage, do you guys remember Polly Pockets? oh man!!! thats my favourite toy when i was a pretty little girl. i used to go Metro @ Far East (yeah it has made way for level one already) and my mum will go for hair treatment while i stayed in the toys section. I LOVE POLLY POCKETS!!! i will ask my mama to buy them for me and if she dun i will sulk and whine. normally she doesnt give in to me and after a few tries i know it's gone. hahaa but on days when i get my pollies, my brother will get his WWF (now is called WWE) toys too.

i have smething like this above! but mine's in orange cover and theres a little tortoise inside. it's like some Aloha theme or something like that. And i have this one at the top left hand corner with a cyan cover from the picture below!

and heres more POLLY POCKETS! haha ive got a hair salon, a normal house, french party with poodles, pencil case, clock, make up set, brush and mirror set, japanese restaurant, educational centre, beauty parlor... etc etc
Ive got so many beautiful memories. I think i was a good child back then if not how come i got so many toys right!? haha must be i am good thats why my mum bought them for me. hahaha anyway, i better stop here, if not theres never ending to my list of "things i love/have". :)) cheers!
