chinese is such a beautiful language.
i was listening to the lyrics of some chinese songs
and i can imagine the situation mentioned in those songs
the way they describe it..it's so different from english.
for chinese writers, the meaning is best expressed with simple words placed together, constructing a perfect yet easy to understand sentence. i dunno how to say lah... as u noe my english is real bad. perhaps my english is bad because i put in more effort in my chinese. and i put in more effort in chinese bcuz i like chinese.

the other day i was critiscing some chinese singers for acting cute, singing stupid songs like "lao shu ai da mi" or the stupid Honey song by cyndi.. and i stopped listening to chinese songs for a period of time. the focus has been on "stupid chinese songs, so chinese songs sucks" but actually did u all notice that there are stupid english songs as well?! for example "don't phunk with my heart", "hollerback girl" and "rich girl" ---> these recent hits on radio, they're stupid as well. absolutely no meaning at all. so while im trashing chinese songs and switching totally to english songs, i din realise im listening to trash as well.

so now i learn to practise an art of balancing wat i listen. like listen to michael buble and at the same time some chinese songs with such wonderful lyrics. i guess i'll leave gwen stefanie and black eye peas to days when im in a crappy mood.
